Company activities

Group De Ceuster (Group DC) is a family business that was founded by Herman De Ceuster in 1966. Today, the group of companies is run by the second generation, with Tom De Ceuster as CEO. The company is active in three divisions: Plant Care, Animal Care and Biosciences. Within the Biosciences division, Scientia Terrae, a not-for-profit-organization, was founded in 2001 as a research, service and education institute for the benefit of the horticulture and food industry. Scientia Terrae has positioned itself at the interface between the academic world and the agriculture industry to translate fundamental science into practical solutions and real-world applications. Scientia Terrae works in close collaboration with DCM (De Ceuster Meststoffen), an important entity within the Plant Care division. R&D also plays a key role in the daily activities of DCM. Its product managers (all bioengineers) are always looking for groundbreaking innovations.
