AZ Jan Palfijn is located in Ghent and has 519 accredited beds. It's a strong regional healthcare provider, employing more than 1300 staff members and 175 physicians. AZ Jan Palfijn is part of the Ghent Hospital Network, together with UZ Ghent and AZ Oudenaarde. AZ Jan Palfijn and AZ Sint-Lucas are currently undergoing a merger process, with the aim of forming a single large metropolitan hospital by 2027, with more than 1300 accredited beds. The merger between both hospitals focuses on strengthening their shared future and responding to the healthcare needs and challenges of today and tomorrow, for the benefit of patients, staff and physicians.
